Subject	Should I be able to hear the turbos spooling?

Message	I recently sold my 1990 300ZX TT which I owned for 4 years. I missed my old car a lot so I'm looking at buying another one. I'm looking at a low mileage 1993 Z but when I get into the boost, I can hear the turbos whine when the spool up. It's not super loud but it's very obvious. I've never heard them spool before in my old Z. What's considered normal? BTW, the car I'm looking at is stage 3 like my old one was,(intake, chip, Stillen exhaust) in case that makes any difference.
